Can you identify the US politician who uttered these quotes?
1. You know, deterrence worked during the Cold War in large measure because the United States made it clear to the Soviet Union that there would be massive retaliation. We have to make it clear to those states that would give safe haven to stateless terrorists, that would launch a nuclear attack against America that they would also face a very heavy retaliation.

Here's how they do it:
1. Take a perfectly healthy young man
2. Send him to fight a meaningless, unjust and cruel war for oil
3. When he comes back with one leg blown off, stick a $20 mirror up his crotch and tell him:
"Hey we made your leg regrow"

A wireless phone company in California will deliver 2,000 letters to Senator Dianne Feinstein's office asking the senator to represent her constituents and not President Bush's interests.
Here's the letter that CREDO Mobile will deliver:
Dear Sen. Feinstein,
I am writing to urge you to stop voting with the Bush agenda and start representing your constituents.
In recent months, you have veered sharply to the right and voted in direct opposition to the wishes of Californians -- and in conflict with your own record of support for civil liberties.

A national household survey conducted by the Iraqi government and the World Health Organization estimates that 151 000 Iraqis died from violence between March 2003 and June 2006, much less than the household survey conducted earlier in 2006, which put the figure at 655,000.
Does this mean that the earlier survey was a gross exaggeration? After all the, sample size of the new study is much larger than the earlier one.
